Posting of Drivers – Road Transport find out how to do it
If your company operates across Europe, posting your drivers requires clear and compliant handling to avoid delays and penalties.
We take care of everything — from declarations to documentation and support with local authorities.
What is meant by transnational posting of drivers?
The posting of drivers in the road haulage sector is a measure that regulates the employment of drivers within the European Union, in situations where the work activity takes place in a country other than the one in which the company is established.
This mechanism, precisely defined by Directive 2020/1057, aims to ensure equal treatment between workers and prevent competitive imbalances between road transport operators. In addition to protecting drivers' contractual and salary conditions, posting entails a series of administrative obligations for companies, including registering the personnel involved and complying with the host country's local regulations.
When posting is required
- International transport with pick-up/drop-off in a foreign country
- Cabotage within another EU country
- Cross-trade between two different states
Transit and some bilateral operations are excluded.

- Digital archive of each driver's documentation
- Direct communication with local authorities
